Bristol Art Class with a twist
Join this art class with a difference in Bristol and get to know your fluffy models with a tail who just love scratches, pets and treats.
You’re probably here because you either love drawing or you love dogs, and if that’s the case, then this might just be the perfect event for you.
Each class will feature multiple dogs of all shapes and sizes – expect snorting flat faces, long legs, tight curls and waggy tails. Try to keep up with the dogs movements and capture a variety of sketches, or spend longer on timed exercises led by artist Cai Burton.
Classes are fun and relaxed with the opportunity to move around and see different dogs. Get to know the owners and play with the pups during the break. Share your work afterwards and see how other artists of all skill levels capture these furry friends.
Always looking for more dogs
Whether you want to know a bit more about the pups we have at Dog Life Drawing, or if you have your own dog who would like to model, I’ve got a few things I consider.
If you are interested, please do send me an email with a bit about your dog and some pictures.
Whilst I love the sound of five retrievers, I balance the breeds across the sessions for variety.
That balance continues with big, small, long, short, black, white and green dogs!
Dogs move, we get it. It can help if they will sit still for a while, but it’s not required.
With up to 50 people, they (and you!) need to be comfortable with everyone in the space.
You’ll always be with your dog, and people have found it great for socialising nervous dogs.
We aren’t after picture perfect, just bring your dogs as they are, unless they have style!
Illustrator teaching you to draw
Before I loved drawing, I loved dogs. And I’m thrilled to be able to bring the two together in a wholesome and mindful union.
I’ve run loads of workshops and will be on hand throughout the class to help you with your sketching or just to introduce you to a puppy.

Book a space
There’s usually at least one session a month, find out when the next one is and book your space.
If you are interested in bringing a dog to model, I’m all ears (and tails, and paws too) so please fill out the form with some information about you and your dog.
Or, if you’d like me to run some dog life drawing classes for you, your workplace, your community or your event, then I want to make it happen together.
